Terms
Using yapcut means you agree to these terms. What happens to your data is on the Privacy page.
What yapcut does
yapcut edits your talking-head videos on your Mac. To make each edit it sends the audio, a small silent copy of the video, your script and your notes to its server, which transcribes the audio and suggests the cut. The Privacy page lists exactly what goes.
Your account
- Sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent to your email. Keep access to it: it’s how you get back in.
- One account per person. You can sign any of your Macs out from the app.
Your videos
- What you make stays yours. yapcut uses it only to edit your videos and to run and improve the app.
- Only use recordings you have the right to use, and nothing illegal.
- Edits are suggestions. Check a cut before you post it.
Price
- Your first 5 videos are free, no card needed. After that, Creator and Pro are monthly or yearly subscriptions at the prices on this site, plus tax where it applies. You see the price before you pay.
- Free videos you haven’t used are added to your first paid month. Videos we give you as thanks never expire.
- Pro videos past 60 a month are $1.00 each, on your next invoice.
- A subscription renews until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan lasts to the end of the period you paid for. Changing plans applies at once, with the difference charged or credited.
- Stripe handles payments. For a question about a charge or a refund, write to hello@getyapcut.app.
Fair use
Don’t try to break, overload or get around yapcut’s limits, or create accounts automatically. We may limit or close an account that does, or that breaks these terms.
Other companies
CapCut, TikTok, Apple and Google are separate companies, and yapcut isn’t affiliated with them. Signing in with Apple or Google is also covered by their terms.
No guarantees
yapcut is provided as it is. We work to keep it running but can’t promise it always will, and we may change or end features. As far as the law allows, yapcut isn’t liable for indirect or lost-profit losses, and its total liability is what you paid in the 12 months before a claim.
Ending
You can stop any time and delete your account in the app (Settings › Account). That ends any subscription at once. If these terms change in a way that matters, the app tells you before the change applies.
